Nicole Shellshear
Accounting Manager
Bachelor of Business, CPA

Nicole joined Saywells in 2011 and has over 25 years’ experience in banking and accounting, giving her a strong insight into the financial needs of a wide range of clients.

Nicole is a valuable member of the Saywells team and her detailed and comprehensive understanding of accounting for small business and specialisation in Thoroughbred Horse Breeding and Racing industries are a real asset for us and our clients

Outside work, Nicole spends her time “horsing around” indulging her interest in matters equestrian.

Karin Lewington
Senior Accountant
Bachelor of Commerce

Karin joined Saywells in 2018 and brings extensive experience in accounting for small businesses, a great resource for our business and individual clients.

Karin has worked closely with SMSF (Self Managed Super Fund) clients over the years and is also an expert in client accounting software including MYOB, Reckon, QuickBooks and is a certified Xero adviser.

In her spare time Karin loves spending time with her dogs and boating around Lake Macquarie.

Julie Vivian
Assistant Accountant

Julie joined the team at Saywells in 2010 bringing extensive hands on experience in business: management accounting, bookkeeping and administration.

An MYOB expert, Julie is a great resource for many of our small business clients. Julie has taken on the responsibility of all administration and accounts for 2 large Irrigation District clients and is now also an expert in the operation of the NSW Water Act.

Julie is actively involved in our local community and is a permanent fixture at the Newcastle Jets soccer home games with her now teenage kids. In her few spare minutes she works on her own and her husband’s small businesses.

Chris Luphahla
Bachelor of Accounting Science

Since he joined the Saywells team in 2016, Chris has converted his knowledge and training gained in Zimbabwe to the Australian context and developed a comprehensive understanding of accounting for small business with a growing interest in SMSFs (Self Managed Super Funds).

A keen soccer player himself, Chris’s spare time is divided between teaching his young son to kick goals and the demands (joys) of a new addition to the family.

Chris will soon commence his studies towards his Chartered Accounting qualification.

Jaclyn Neill
Bookkeeper / Admin Officer
Bachelor of Commerce

Jaclyn joined Saywells in 2017 and brings with her strong experience working in accounting practice and with small business clients.

Jaclyn’s role is split between supporting our admin and accounting teams and when not helping out with Reception duties, she works on bookkeeping for clients and the practice, ensuring our clients meet all of their ASIC obligations as well as preparation of financial reports.  Jaclyn is our in-house expert on Xero, MYOB and on Single Touch Payroll and enjoys helping clients implement and manage these commitments.

An avid rugby fan, Jaclyn’s weekends are busy supporting local rugby games.
